1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading or using AltNotes AI Note Taker (“App”), you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.

2. Description of Service

AltNotes AI Note Taker allows users to:

• Record voice notes
• Convert audio into text using AI
• Summarize, rewrite, and analyze notes using AI features
• Upload and store document and image attachments
• Store, manage, and delete notes

Some features may require an active subscription.

3. User Accounts

• The App requires Sign in with Apple to function
• Each account is personal and non-transferable
• You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account

4. AI & Content Processing

By using the App, you acknowledge and agree that:

• Voice recordings and text may be uploaded to our servers
• Third-party AI services (e.g., speech-to-text, summarization) process your data
• AI-generated content may not always be accurate
• You remain responsible for reviewing and verifying AI-generated output.

5. User Content & Ownership

• You retain full ownership of your voice notes, text, and uploaded attachments
• By using the App, you grant us a limited license to process your content solely to provide app functionality
• You may delete your content at any time from within the App
• You represent and warrant that you own or have the necessary rights to upload any attachment or other content
• You are solely responsible for ensuring your uploads do not violate copyright, trademark, privacy, or other third-party rights

6. Subscriptions & Payments

• Payments are handled via Apple App Store
• Subscription management (renewals, cancellations) must be done through your Apple ID
• Prices may change with prior notice
• No refunds are issued except as required by Apple’s policies.

7. Account Deletion

You may delete your account at any time from within the App. Upon deletion:

• Your account information will be removed
• Your stored notes, audio, and uploaded attachments will be permanently deleted (except where legally required to retain data)

8. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the App for illegal or harmful purposes
• Upload content that violates laws or third-party rights
• Upload copyrighted material without authorization from the rights owner
• Attempt to reverse-engineer or misuse the App or services

9. Children

The App is rated 4+. If you are under the age of 13, you may use the App only with parental consent. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children without consent.

10. Limitation of Liability

The App is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for:

• Data loss
• AI inaccuracies
• Business or personal decisions made using AI-generated content
• Any copyright or intellectual property claims arising from content or attachments uploaded by users

Users remain solely responsible for the legality and ownership of the content they upload.

11. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the App means acceptance of the updated Terms.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of India.
