Ask AI only answers from available note context. If your notes do not contain the answer, it should say so instead of guessing.

Yes. You can create tasks manually or generate tasks from note content. Tasks can include descriptions, reminders, and repeat settings.

Crafts are AI-generated outputs created from a note, such as meeting minutes, action items, follow-up emails, blog posts, and social posts.

Yes. AI generation features can consume credits based on the selected craft type.

Yes. You can publish a note and share it with a public link.

Yes. Public notes can support password protection, expiry dates, and burn-after-read links.

Yes. Notes can be tagged, and AltNotes includes default tags such as Work, Personal, Meeting, Ideas, Follow Up, Important, Project, Learning, Finance, and Health.

Credits are used for transcription and AI-powered features. Your balance determines how much recording, live transcription, or AI generation you can use.

Features that require credits may stop or be unavailable until you renew your subscription or buy more credits.

Subscriptions and payments are handled through Apple. You can manage or cancel your subscription from your Apple ID settings.

No. The privacy policy says your audio, text, notes, documents, and images are not used to train AI models.

You can delete your account from inside the app. Account deletion removes your account data, notes, audio, and attachments, except where legal retention is required.

Yes. AltNotes can show transcription while you record, if live transcription is enabled for your account and you have enough credits.

Recording uploads support common audio and video formats such as MP3, WAV, OGG, AAC.

Transcription may fail if the file type is unsupported, the file is too large, your subscription is inactive, credits are insufficient, or the transcription provider is temporarily unavailable. There is no content in the audio or the audio contains music.
